The Seattle City Council is studying how to regulate medical and retail pot shops in the city. Last November, more than 55 percent of Washington voters approved I-502 legalizing a system to produce and sell marijuana for recreational use. But, how the city of Seattle will implement that system is hazy. Most marijuana-related activity remains subject to federal criminal laws and state law currently regulates medical and recreational marijuana differently.
