DAILY SHORT: Regulating the pot industry

The Seattle City Council is studying how to regulate medical and retail pot shops in the city. Last November, more than 55 percent of Washington voters approved I-502 legalizing a system to produce and sell marijuana for recreational use. But, how the city of Seattle will implement that system is hazy. Most marijuana-related activity remains subject to federal criminal laws and state law currently regulates medical and recreational marijuana differently. City Inside/Out looks at potential pitfalls in the path to a pot policy.
